Solutions architects · UK

We design the system before anyone writes the code.

Global SoLARK sits between your business goals and the technology that has to deliver them. We map the problem, choose the architecture, and build only what earns its place.

  • Business, AI and IT consultancy
  • Custom software and AI delivery
  • One team, advice to hand-over
SYSTEMS & TECHNOLOGIES

What we do

Five practices, one architecture-led approach.

Most engagements start in one practice and pull in the others as the picture gets clearer. Advice and implementation come from the same people.

  • Consultancy

    Business Consultancy

Process mapping, operating-model review and a costed roadmap. We work out what is actually slowing the business down before proposing a system to fix it.

  • Consultancy

    AI Consultancy

Readiness assessment, use-case shortlisting and honest feasibility. We will tell you where AI pays for itself, and where a simple rule or a better form would do the same job for less.

  • Consultancy

    IT Consultancy

Architecture reviews, cloud and integration strategy, security and cost optimisation. Practical guidance on the estate you already run, not a rebuild for its own sake.

  • Delivery

    Software Solutions

Custom web applications, data platforms, APIs and internal tools. Specified, built, tested and handed over with documentation your own team can work from.

  • Delivery

    AI Software & Automation

Retrieval assistants, document and data extraction, matching and recommendation engines, and workflow automation wired into the systems you already use.

  • Ongoing

    Support & Enablement

Post-launch support, team workshops and governance so the solution keeps working after we leave. No lock-in by obscurity.

Featured work

STUDiPort: a student portal built for a UK university.

Academic records, automated degree classification, a skills framework and AI-assisted careers matching in one system, where before there were separate spreadsheets and hand calculation.

  • 50+programmes in one store
  • 90,000+records, queryable
  • 40:60UK classification rule, automated
  • FHEQ 4–7CATS credits, ESCO skills, O*NET roles
The STUDiPort student dashboard: a profile panel showing programme and level,
counters for programmes, students, modules and job listings, and an academic
progress panel with credits completed and current standing.

How we work

A short, predictable path from first conversation to production.

Four stages, each with an agreed output before the next one starts.

  1. Understand

We start with your process, your data and your constraints, not a product pitch.

Output: A written problem statement both sides agree on.

  2. Architect

Options, trade-offs and cost. You get an architecture you can question, including what we deliberately chose not to build.

Output: Target architecture and a delivery plan.

  3. Build

Short delivery cycles with something demonstrable at the end of each one. Tests and documentation are part of the work, not a later phase.

Output: Working software at the end of every cycle.

  4. Hand over

Deployment, runbooks, training and a support window. Your team owns the system; we stay reachable.

Output: Everything in your accounts, with runbooks.

Why a small practice

You work with the people who do the work.

The person who scoped your problem is the person who designs the solution, and is still on the call six months later.

  • Architecture first.A weak foundation costs more than the build.
  • Plain language.Decisions written down so non-technical stakeholders can challenge them.
  • Right-sized technology.Boring and reliable beats novel and fragile.
  • Working software early.Demonstrable progress, not status decks.
  • No lock-in.Standard stacks, your repositories, your accounts.
